I am a US History teacher. I am so glad I found this a few years ago. I include it in a lesson after the Civil War (when freedom was worse than slavery) or up until the Civil Rights movement. It is sad that this part of history was close to a hundred years. I teach in an urban high school. When I play Mr. Allen's movie you can't hear a pin drop in the room. Mr. Allen said in an interview that the African American struggle has been incomparable. He is so right and he has documented it so well.
