Today being Jan 16, 2006 the birthday of Dr Martin Luther King jr. I give thanks for all the black men and women who because of their strength and conviction have made the United States of America a place where I can live freely as a woman of african decent. All those whose lives were sacrificed should never be forgotton so I say we should have more attention paid to the many men and women with no names who were lynched without due process and no further investigation into their death. Maybe even a monument erected in the towns across America where their lives came to a horrific end!
