While the photos are unspeakable in themselves, what I find also unspeakable is that someone took them. I mean many of these photographs were taken by professional photographers and made into postcards. It was very common in the first half of the 20th century for almost all small towns to have a town photographer whop took pictures of weddings and other events and who made a living selling the photos. Some of these photos were made by those same photographs and then sold as postcards. And to imagine that these were mailed through the US mails is even more unspeakable.
