I am a 52 year-old currently study for my masters in history, and it never fails to amaze me that regardless how much you read about the evils in history, it cannot convey the horror like a picture. There is no mental image that solidifies like the stark reality of a black and white picture. Thank you for the haunting images that drive the malevolence of racial hate home. This site was recommended by my Masters Adviser. I am currently researching on several relevant topics: Southern Disfranchisement at the end of the 19th Century, and Reconstruction: Victim of Manifest Destiny. Excellent site!
