These images of horrific acts brought on by abominable ignorance and intolerance stir more than sadness, grief and other emotions about what was. They stir a determination to improve what will be.

Persisting in small but invaluable steps of patience, understanding, and empathy in everyday life. Preparing my children through education, attitude and example to share with love in mankind's brotherhood. Participating in civic duties such as voting, jury duty, and public forums to assure that another voice is heard speaking for justice and liberty for all. These things I do.

Will I take any bolder steps?
