I know these have been happening in the U.S.A. from way before the civil war to the 1960’s. We are supposed to represent freedom, not cruelty. One of the saddest parts is that people were there to watch these and did not defend them. As shown in the pictures you can see the fathers with their young sons smiling while witnessing everything. It seemed to be a huge event for full towns to see. That would cause nightmares for any person today.
