I am an African American Pastor and this dreaded potion of American History has be deliberatively shelved away. Thanks Mr. Allen for allowing Americans everywhere and in every generation a glimpse of this cruel, racist period in American. At a time when the symbolic lynching of Black Americans throughout the criminal justice system is still occurring, without sanctuary.org reminds us and especially african american males of our brutal and dehumanizing place within America's history.

These portraits should fuel every Black person to work hard for social justice and to[b] remember[/b] from whence we have come and how far we yet have to go.
